Help Needed wiring toad!
I have a 2013 Ford edge setup to be a toad with this kit : Hopkins 56001 Plug-in Simple Towed Vehicle Wiring Kit
I also need to be able to tow a utility trailer behind the Ford Edge when I'm not towing the Edge behind the motorhome . Can someone give me guidance on how to set this up . I need the Edge to be able to be towed by MH and also tow the utility trailer . Is this possible ?
Thanks

I'm getting a 404 when I try the link, but I don't think it matters anyway.
As far as I know, the kit will only be a few diodes that stops the power coming down the wires from the coach feeding back into the wires from the toad.
The wiring to the toad trailer just takes its power from the toad.
Logically, there shouldn't be a conflict, but I'm still wiring mine so can't say 100%.
Hope that helps.

Here is a new link :

I just don't understand how to hook this up. The kit above just plugs in , don't think I can plug 2 kits in but I may be wrong .

I used similar on my Jeep for trailer wiring. It's just a T, you pull the existing male and female sections of the plug apart and fit this in between.
I would be very surprised if you couldn't just plug 2 kits in the same way.
To my mind, you would have the plug coming from the car wiring, then the T kit for the Toad as in the wiring that's going to your coach, this will have the diodes. Then you have the T for the toad trailer, then you plug the plug from the car wiring.
It's basically daisy-chaining both T's, but they should fit end-to-end.
This way if you ever need to plug anything into the toads trailer socket (another lightbar maybe), then it should all work correctly.

etrailer sells both kits:
https://www.etrailer.com/Tow-Bar-Wir...s/HM56001.html
https://www.etrailer.com/t1-2013_Ford_Edge.htm
They have a decent return policy. If it was I, I'd buy them both and try them out.
One caveat: There may not be a lot of space in the cavity behind the rear lights for the connectors from both harnesses.
Advice: Before purchase, download the manuals for both products and figure out how they would be wired (as at least one of them has a "powered converter").

We tow a Honda Odyssey and also tow a utility trailer with the Ody (not at the same time, that's illegal here). It's not a problem, I used the RoadMaster diode kit then wired in a pigtail off the rear lights for the trailer. Everything works as it should, in fact we used to tow the Ody on a dolly and I wired in a plug from the dolly wiring to the Ody lights too.

I have a kit to go from my motorhome to the 2 bulb system in my Suzuki Grand Vitara. Everything worked fine . I then put on a hitch on the car to tow my boat which required a second kit kit to go from the 2 bulb car to single bulb boat trailer. Now when I toad the car with the motorhome my fuse blows when I turn on the lights. I am still trying to reconsile this in my mind, but I suspect it is backfeeding between the 2 conversion kits.

I think it is a great toad , no issues for me .
Thanks to all that has helped and provided answers . I got this response from etrailer today:
Expert Reply:
What you can do is install Tow Ready trailer wiring harness # 118515 on your 2013 Ford Edge. You will basically be daisy chaining its connectors in line with the # HM56001 and vehicle wiring connectors. I spoke with our shop manager to verify that this will work and he said that it would!
Installation of the trailer wiring harness does require a direct connection to the vehicle battery (to power the trailer lights). I have included a link to a help article with tips on routing the power wire.
