Hitch rating sticker

Hi,

There is sticker on the back of my workhorse UFO stating that the weight carrying is 5000lb and weight distributing is 6000lbs.

Coach is a 26,000 lbs chassis and has a GCWR of 30,000lbs. Last weigh in was 22380lbs.

Why a 5000lbs and 6000lb rating?

I am never going to tow even close to 5,000lbs, just curious what this means?

Thanks,Click image for larger version

It is saying you can tow 5000 pounds with a regular hitch or 6000 with a weight distributing hitch.

Ah, that's what I guessed but was not sure.

I can flat tow 5,000lbs but a TT or trailer with a weight distributing hitch I can tow 6,000lbs.
