Honda CRV 2012
I have towed my 2012 Honda CRV for 5 years without any challenges. I have it set up with a TowMaster electric brake system with my 2016 Tiffin MH.
I have sold the Tiffin, but would be willing to sell my CRV to anyone interested.

JCM, Yes I am interested in learning more about the brake system and the shield as well, I've sent you an email, don't know if you got that message or not. You can reach me at 706-455-5355 and at ledzep30513@hotmail.com

I haven't received your email use spine@wlake.com and put blue ox in the subject so that it won't get boosted by the spam filter or call 250-392-3840........... As I said I would keep it and use it but not on a 25 foot B+.
Talk to you soon.

We were offered $3000 more than book value for Honda CRV 2011. It is a great tow vehicle and so much easier to set up to tow than our Jeep Grand Cherokee was. Won't sell this car. Love the way all of the space is available. Put in a switch to shut off battery after forgetting to pull fuse and spent one night in pull-through site and battery was dead. We usually follow that 65 mph rule anyway so not a problem with us.Occasionally we go faster. Would have trouble finding another CRV for the price we'd get with only 60k miles. Don't think Jeep Grand Cherokee is towable any longer either.

We love our 2012 model. It is a shame that Honda dropped this transmission.
Hang onto it as long as you can. Enjoy.

A week ago while camping one of our friends pulled in with their Ford Focus. It's flat towable and not a hybrid but just a gas engine. It's super easy to set up to flat tow and when driving it around town it gets 42+ MPG. We may just stop at a dealer and take one for a drive. We won't buy cause we have a TOAD. The CRV has a lot more room than the Focus for shopping but the Ford would be a lighter tow vehicle as well.
We have a 2013 CRV with 84,000 miles and love to drive and tow it but if you are looking check out the newer Ford Focus.

. Both our Grand Cherokee are towable 4 down. Agree that our CRV is a great towable and wife only drives automatic transmission. But the Grand Cherokee with true 4 wheel drive option is also a great tow. I also have the electric disconnect for my fuse right in the spare mounting of the switches to the lower left of the wheel. I routinely drain and replace transmission fluid of 3.5 quart to keep transmission shifting smoothly.

The 2021 Grand Cherokee is still towable as long as it has the 4x4 Quadra-trac II which is available on all but the lower trims.

Just bought a 2013 CR-V to tow behind my 2017 Sunseeker 2400R MBS.
I've got most of my towing package spec'd out, but I still need to figure out the best system for mounting my Samsung cellphone.
Need advice on proven systems, and a picture is worth a 1,000 words.
TIA.

Look at the cup mount in Weather tech's site. Simple and functional.

I’m not a fan of cup holders. You have to take your eyes off the road to look down.
I had this one in my CRV for two years and love it. Also charges your phone as you drive http://https://www.amazon.com/iOttie...7904326&sr=8-3

For the CRV I just use a vent clip that I bought at Big Lots for $5. Works just fine.
For the MH I repurposed a furniture slider from Harbor Freight putting Velcro on the bottoM to grip the dash cover and use real man approved duct tape to secure a goose neck phone holder. Extra Velcro hold my sunglasses case. I personally think it’s a thing of beauty.

On my '13 CR-V, they were for the radio and navigation. I had a switch installed to turn them off.
The switch was located behind an extra plate to the left of the steering wheel on the dash so it looked mostly factory.
Safe travels,
Mark
