So what a bummer. We bought a new Odyssey in June of last year. THEN we got the Motorhome! The minivan fit the Mastiffs nicely but is not towable.
So guess we are looking at the CR-V in the near future so we have a toad.
Other vehicle is a 16 passenger conversion van set up for the dogs with generator and separate A/C unit which we do not want to give up.
Sigh. That was not the best planning but we were not planning on upgrading from the travel trailer.............

Call Remco and discuss with them. I believe they will tell you it is OK to tow, just not with Honda's blessing. They will sell you a separate warranty on the transmission for about $400 to ease your mind if you wish.

I'm sure some other Odyseey pullers will respond also...

I posed the question to REMCO a few weeks ago.

Their response:

"Richard,

Honda is so "tight-lipped" about the new transmissions. No one can get anything on them at all. We can not confirm their towability. We know there are people out there flat-towing them. We just cannot say it for a fact, except for the CRV and the Fit, and only because Honda states those two are towable.

If you choose the Odyssey, you could flat-tow it but you'll be on your own if you have any problems. (I hate being in this position and telling you that) To be safe and sure you could go with a tow dollie."

The emergency tow instructions in the manual are the same as the instructions for previous model Odysseys which were towable. <Shrugh>.

Fortunately, I kept the CRV since it was set up. I'd probably walk before I screwed around with a dolly.
