Hope the new Bronco is towable!
I sure hope the new Bronco will be towable 4-down! Seems it will be based on the same chassis as the Ranger, so that’s encouraging for those of us who’d like to drag it around.
After owning a 1970 (in 71-73) and a new 1976 (in 76-79), I’m ready to jump in

I am thinking it will be, from the research I have done it will be based off of the new ranger platform. I have a 74 still, and us at classicbronos.com are eagerly waiting for the final specs. there is an ongoing thread about the new bronco, might check it out.

Even better than the Detroit Auto show which I believe is in June, it's rumored it may even be sooner in April at the New York International Auto Show according to this article that I read which came out yesterday:
Ford Bronco 4x4 Reveal Date Leaked: Will The SUV Arrive Sooner Than Expected?
Although there have been quite a few teaser images during the past few months, Ford has not officially revealed what it will actually look like.
eta: Personally, I'm drooling as it's also rumored that there will eventually be a 7-speed Getrag manual transmission option later in the year or early next year (actual 3 pedals!)

Some of the video out makes it appear to have the same styling as the H3 or the FJ Cruiser with short pillars and small windows. I hope that’s wrong, not a fan of that look, and the visibility stinks in those vehicles.
It’s also IFS; not surprisingly, but a disappointment nonetheless. I think it’s going to be just another cute Ute and there are plenty of those already.

After owning an F-150 for 2 years after owning a Toyota Tundra for over 10 you couldn't pay me enough to own another Ford. About once a week I drive the F-150 it sounds like raw gears grinding when I first drive it. The Ford dealership says they can't duplicate it so everytime it does it I just make sure it grinds away. I have another 3 years of power train warranty left so I'm going to destroy the drive train, or they're going to fix it, one or the other. I hate this truck and I can't wait for the damn thing to destroy itself.

One of my best friends bought a brand new F150 4x4 5.0 last year. Has all the bells and whistles.
Now this guy is completely anal about care and maintenance.
Seriously, I've never met anyone as particular about his equipment as this guy.
To say he hates it is an understatement. It makes all kinds of weird noises the dealer can never duplicate. The doors won't open in freezing weather. Transmission does all sorts of crazy shifting and it throttles up and lurches forward approaching a stop. His wife rear ended someone (tap) because of that "normal operation" the dealer calls it. It has a total of 6,000 miles on it and has spent over 30 days at Ford trying to address these issues. Every time they give it back they tell him they are working on a "fix" or reprogram updates.
On the other hand my neighbor just bought a new Ranger with the 4cly eco boost 10 speed tranny and he absolutely loves it. He tows a small RPod camp trailer and likes it better than his old Tacoma V6.
Go figure. Maybe the new Bronco will be OK?
