Question How do you activate NTS on a 98 Explorer?

After a lot information here http://www.irv2.com/forums/f85/98-ex...ion-77595.html I'm at the point I need to know how to turn the neutral tow switch on and off

The procedure for newer years just does not work as I do not have a push button selector on mine.

Also mine does not have a green connector under the dash but I do have a gray one could it be a color difference for the years? The newer ones call for a green connector as in the link above.
