2019 Fusion PHEV
I've towed my 2019 Fusion PHEV for 4 years now, probably about 15,000 miles in total. This is my 4th FOMOCO hybrid that I've flat towed and it's the easiest one yet to set up for towing. All you have to do is put the transmission dial in N. Every time you put the transmission in N a message appears on the dash screen: "To enter neutral tow mode, press L" When you press L you then get a message "Neutral tow mode engaged". That's it! When you unhook the car all you do is start the car and select D or R and the transmission goes to the gear selected and you're off. The Fusion tows great as did all the other hybrids I've owned: 2008 Mercury Mariner, 2012 Ford Fusion, 2014 Lincoln MKZ and now the 2019 Ford Fusion PHEV.
As a daily driver, I love my Fusion. It rides well and is quiet. Depending on the season, a single electrical charge will give me about 30 miles in the summer and as low as 18 miles in the winter. The winter mileage goes down, not only because the temperature is colder & the battery is less efficient, but with the colder weather that means I will be using the 5,000W resistance heating coil in the heating system to heat the car. I'm sure that that's responsible for at least half of the 12 mile reduction in the number of miles that I get out of a charge. (Running the A/C in the summer has MUCH less effect on battery range.)
