Would like to here from folks who have a Veloster toad.

Hi, recently got a 2016 Veloster turbo for towing. Did the install and wiring (blue Ox) myself. Love the car, really fun to drive. Towed it once so far, about 300 miles. Had no problems at all and our class C didn't either!

No, I didn't drive the non turbo version, I traded my Mini Cooper for the Veloster. I have a friend who tows the non turbo version and he really wishes he had opted for the turbo.

I am leaning towards the Turbo also.

I am basically looking for a hot hatch I can flat tow and put Kayaks in the roof. This will be by summer daily driver and rv car as already have a 2010 Toyota Sequoia 4wd with winter tires for Michigan winters.

Hi 5winds,

How much did it cost the equipment?

Hi 5winds,

I would not feel confident installing the plate myself. I am leaning towards the Ready Brute Elite so a brake line would need to be run through the firewall.

There is a blue ox dealer about an hour away who can do the install.

They get you to drop off the car and then take the MH to a local campground and come back next day to collect and a run through.

By any chance do you have a photo of the front of the car, I would like to see how the attachment points look.

Cheers,
