We love our Honda CRV AWD! They are flat towable up through the 2014 models. I use the NSA ReadyBrute towbars with built-in ReadyBrake. It is rated to tow up to 8000 lbs and has a lifetime warranty! The braking system is simple yet effective!

Thanks everyone for all the info.
I'm trying to think of some options for us. Right now we are a one car family. Which is a 2019 CRV front wheel drive so it could be dolly towed. I'm sick of the dolly and am definitely going 4down. But I know if I trade the CRV in I'm gonna get #$%@*d. So now I'm thinking about something a little older that would be my car.
Can any manual transmission car be towed by just putting it neutral? Like if I found an old pickup with a 4 speed or a Miata with a 5 speed could that work?

Most, but not all, manuals can be towed 4 down. Some manuals specifically forbid it Always check the owners manual first.

As Joe & Annette said the Ready Brute has a lifetime warranty. Some others tell you theirs needs to be replaced after a given time. Shop wisely and read the fine print.
