Is My Ultraguard Adequate?

We have a 2013 Thor ACE 29.2 to which I've mounted an Ultraguard rock guard to the rear bumper. The Ultraguard clears the ground right at 4" and has always seemed to be adequate while towing with our tow dolly. We are moving to a flat tow and am not sure how well that will work while flat towing our Mini Cooper which sits pretty close to the ground. Any thoughts are appreciated.

I too use the UltraGuard flap, but with the Protect-A-Tow mesh shield between the MH and toad. I feel that gives me as much protection as is possible. Look at post #10 in the thread below.

I use a combo of the rock shield on the coach and a Roadmaster Guardian Rock Shield on the tow car (attaches to the tow bar).

Several people have posted here and on other forums that putting mud flaps just behind the mh rear duals works much better than any full length flap across the rear. Many have removed theirs (including me) and have installed the mentioned mud flaps. It seems the across the rear ones create some vacuum and actually throw up water and debris. Look at a mh during a rain and see the rooster tail caused by the rear flap.

I took ours off and cut it into mud flaps and used the mounting angle iron to make the framework for the mud flaps. Search the rv forums including this one and others for several threads on this subject. We also use the protect-a-tow.
