We've towed ours for 12 years with zero issues with driveshaft disconnect

Hi,

Any idea of the rough coat of the disconnect kit fitted?

It was a long time ago but I think it was in the neighborhood of $600. The drive shaft also needs to be shortened.

They warn not to use the vehicle off road but that never stopped me. I keep it lubricated with WD40 & have zero issues.
We've been on nearly every off road trail in Death Valley & it keeps on tickin'

Thanks very much, I am not sure if I am going to get it done as 4 runner and tow gear will be right at the edge of tow capacity.

MADAWG I am with you, Toyota over Just Empty Every Pocket. A disconnect is the answer. Do a Google search to find one.

Don't forget that is the "Jeep" Safari

But I see way more built Jeeps out on OHV trails in Moab and CO than any other street legal vehicle. I actually see way more ATVs and SxS than Jeeps... just not during the Easter Safari as I avoid that week like a plague.

As far as which street legal vehicle is the best 4x4, I'll just say that Jeep has a MUCH BIGGER aftermarket than any other street legal 4x4 vehicle.
