Jeep Driveline Neutral Switch

I'm planning to pull my 2016 KL behind my motorhome and haven't even tried the "press and hold" neutral button yet to be honest. But given the number of times I likely will use that button on a given expedition, I'm wondering whether it's possible to wire another larger switch in parallel somewhere else (like the console box) to make this process easier.

Has anyone thought about or better yet done what I'm suggesting?

I guess it could probably be done, but the current process is so easy I don't think it would be worth the effort.

Now putting a switch in the driver's compartment for the flat tow wiring harness that actives the EPS while towing is definitely worth the effort so you don't have to keep opening the hood to remove/replace the 10 amp fuse.

I'm attaching a document showing how I added a switch inside the driver's compartment to alleviate having to open the hood.

Thanks for the input BobGed! I did something similar with the fuse lead, but carried it all the way to the center console so both switches are in the same place ...

So your switch covers stay open when the car is being towed?

Sounds like your solution works very well. Yes, my cover stays open when the switch is ON.

Now see that's always struck me as odd on Jeep's part. What happens if that switch cover closes accidentally (which it can do because mine at least is spring loaded)? I'm going to replace my cover(s) with a switch guard like you'd see in industrial equipment (nothing more than two flaps that flank the switch on either side) ...
