I tow a 2020 Gladiator with the Demco base plate and it tows great. I assure you that the factory bumpers steel is too thin to use as a tow point and you'll butcher it trying to get throught to the frame.

Thanks for all the GOOD comments, as close to expert advice you could expect.
This will be my last toad, I have a 2005 Jeep GC and it's been a good vehicle but has seen better days.
I like the Gladiator and/or Wrangler with the transfer manual shifter on the floor. You know when you get it into neutral.
When we first bought the GC in 2010 Jeep had a recall in ~2013 and it was a disaster, they flashed the Jeep and ultimately it was hit or miss getting it into neutral. Spent many hours on the phone and at the local Jeep dealer all denying there was a problem, even though there were thousands of posts on the internet. Took about a year to get the problem fixed.
But right now it seems like the Jeep is still the way to go. Simple hookup and getting into neutral is about as simple as you can get.

I'll add my story to the thread: we tow our 2020 Gladiator Sport S using a Rugged Ridge Spartan bumper, along with the Rock Hard adapters for the Blue Ox bar, although we use an NSA Ready Brute Elite towbar rather than the Blue Ox offering. I chose the Rugged Ridge bumper because it is one of the few that uses bolts instead of welds to secure the D-ring mounts so the bumper is not seeing ANY stress from towing - the tow points are bolted directly to the frame, with the bumper itself merely sandwiched between the tow adapter and the frame.

OK,
I had found a decent deal on a 2024 Sport with ~4500 miles but I can buy a new one cheaper, the dealer doesn't seem to care and we are at a stand still on the price. Only advantage here is that the dealer is close.
So I'm still looking at new Gladiators and have found some good deals on both a 2024/5 similarly quipped.
Question, is it possible to buy a front bumper with the winch already mounted. or included. I haven't been able to find one.
If buying the whole thing isn't possible I assume the winches pretty much are universal assuming clearances are there.

You won't find a bumper and winch combo, at least not new that I've ever seen. Winches in the size/class you'd run on a Jeep all have a 4x10 mounting pattern and are more or less the same footprint, or sometimes even have movable control boxes. Common/popular choices are the Smittybilt 9500 or 12000 (XRC or X20), Harbor Freight Badlands, or for higher end options Superwinch and Warn Zion in the same sizes. Any of those will work fine with just about any bumper. Most bumpers I've seen were engineered/test fitted with the Warn Zeon-S 12K which is hard to go wrong with.
I do have to ask, if you are considering a Sport, why are you considering a winch? Unless you're going to be doing a ton of modifications, you aren't buying a Gladiator (Sport) for serious off-road use and the 80lb winch up front on factory coils with an aftermarket (steel, at least) bumper will cause a notable amount of sag.

Good question, we happened to test drive a 2020 Sport with a bumper and winch and liked the look. I doubt I'd ever get into heavy off road driving but stranger things have happened.
If I buy something not already setup to tow it looked like a bumper setup would be the way to go. Don't need a winch so would probably hold off on that.
Really just looking for decent tow method.
