Do you have electronic (non hydraulic) steering?

Wasn't going fast at all when it happened. So, yes, it's just a question of the right circumstances before your GC will wobble too.

As of model year 2016 all Grand Cherokees have non hydraulic steering - so do the Cherokees.

Has anyone experienced wobble with this car? I have only a few towing miles.

Battery status/charge line: When the door is closed the car draws 9A and as lights etc are shut down the draw after 10 minutes is 0.02A - ie the battery will remain fully charged for lots of days. It's not clear to me how a charge line could effect the wobble.
I've towed my 2014 GC well over 10K miles with no issues, other than a rear tire blowout last week, that wasn't pretty, $7.7K in damage.

THe Cherokees have had EPS since their re-introduction in 2014.

Just got a call from local Jeep dealer Service Manager. says he just got a fix for the Grand Cherokee wobble. He said its similar to the Cherokee fix. no charge for installation. For most good news.

Could you post the part number for the harness or what it is that fixes the problem?

I hope that your service managers is right. I’ve reached out to my contacts at FCA and FMCA and so far no news.

Not questioning your post, but having been involved for over 6 months, and 50 emails and phone calls, I’m disappointed that my contacts have not shared the status.

I haven't had a problem but wouldn't mind a little insurance. Please share.

My Son owns a RV repair shop that does a ton of work for the local Jeep Dealer. He got the call while I was there as they knew I had had a problem and some of his recent installs had worried about it. I will ask tomorrow what the part # is and when it will be available.

There should also be a TSB issued by FCA with all the details including the part number.

There is no Service Bulletin listed for it yet. Not sure what he is referencing. I've been watching for something to come out, but nothing yet.

A friend got the wobble this spring behind his Newell and it was so violent that the Jeep frame broke on both sides.

Jeep GRAND Cherokee death wobble!

We may have finally received a solution for the GC wobble. Sent an email to my service manager and she responded with an answer. Check PN 68321424AB. special order only. Best of luck to everyone.

Looking at that part number and the part superscedence history, it appears this is the kit for the Cherokee not the Grand Cherokee as the fitment is for model years 2014-2018. The Grand Cherokee did not have EPS until the 2016 MY. I don't believe this kit has anything to do with Grand Cherokee.
