Still need to install charge wire from 7 pin connector to toad battery. Since GC battery is under pass. seat I terminated wire on positive battery post. Can buy a kit with diode and fuse for this. Hopkins 39332 if I remember.

I meant to say terminate on positive jumper post under hood.

I just got off the phone with customer service at Jeep. They said the reason the negative battery cable needs to be removed has nothing to do with recharging the battery. It needs to be removed to prevent damage to the drive train. If it is damaged from flat towing, the warranty will not cover the damage. Thought you would like to know.

What specifically can be damaged in the drivetrain. I hope you asked so others can benefit.

Other post indicated you do not have to. Verified by Jeep.
Perhaps dealer just trying to cover his behind as he does not know.
