The M&G is installed between the power booster and Master Cylinder. It uses no electical power from the toad. It is proportional to the Motorhome. It will not engage until it receives air from the Motorhome when the brakes are applied. Hook up is connecting the air line which is easy to do.

I have used the M&G brake system on three vehicles and have never experienced a problem.

Those are some of the reasons I use the M&G brake system.

Hi Martinfan01, cant say that I would reccomend the system I have. It does work but not as advertised and company was no help.
My jeep is relatively stock with just a few minor mods.

I too like the M&G system for Jeeps. or the Ready Brake depending on where you live.

However it is my understanding that Jeep has had a problem with some brake boosters.. You might wish to talk to a JEEP dealer and see if there is a TSB on them. also if you get a negative from the dealer write the NTSB since this really is a safety issue.

If the Brake Buddy pump can not generate enough vacuum.. it may be that the engine could not either if you were hill climbing, and this,, Is a serious safety issue.. For a car that can not go is safe. But one that will not stop.. Is deadly.

NOTE ALSO... Problem might not be with the booster (Say what) on most cars the check valve on the booster chamber has a "Tap" this Tap feeds vacuum to the HEVAC vacuum motors and to the cruise control servo.. On one of my cars I had a serious vacuum leak.. the CC servo.. I also had a problem following some HEVAC work.. they forgot to hook up a vacuum coupling. Either of those could prevent the pump from building enough vacuum.

RVBuzz,

One thing that might be interesting is to connect your orig. booster externally. By this I mean to take it out of the box, and connect the vacuum hose. I expect you will notice the same vacuum leak. but you might be able to use a chalk puffer or anything that makes smoke to see if you can tell where the vacuum leak is.

I assume it would be some kind of fitting, maybe you can figure out how to plug it when towing.
I can't thin of a reason for a vacuum system to have any kind of built in leak.
This would mean that after a couple of minutes, you would have no vacuum assist if you pressed on the brakes without the engine running.

Regards,

Dan
