Yes it would. Tom had a good example of a very practical LJ weight. With a 103" wheelbase, it has a better ride than the stock TJ @ 93". Plus it has the legroom for two smaller adults in the back seat. The 4 liter engine is also bullet proof. A good choice for a toad if you want to leave the paved road for some exploring. If you get the Rubicon model, it will have locking axles front and rear.

If this was to be a dedicated toad and have my SUV for daily use then it could get doable.
Would just need to make sure our lab can get in the back.

Jeep weights
You can actually call Jeep and they can tell you the exact dry weight of your Jeep when it rolled off the assembly line. My 2018 Sahara Door sticker said 6100 lbs. Jeep said my factory weight was 4246 lbs.

Personally, I don't trust ANY sticker. I simply cruise on over to a set of scales and weigh it. It's just not that hard.

I'll have to check the date...
We have 1upusa rack, gobi stealth rack...
I see now...our wt ticket is a couple of months before we added the Gobi Stealth.
I was just getting an idea...as our max tow weight is 15,000# , tow bar rated for 10,000#....not overly concerned.

My 2015 JKU Rubicon with 35" tires, off-road bumpers, winch, rock rails, full tank of gas, and hard top weighed in at exactly 5000 lbs. with no driver.
My tow hitch is rated for 5,000/10,000. The higher value when using a weight distribution hitch.
