My 07' wrangler had a steering wheel lock so I had it disabled. Simplest way to tow for me. Turn off and remove the key. No chance of forgetting to put the key in the ACC position, no battery issues, etc. I wouldn't do it any other way.

Would someone let me know how and who can eliminate the steering lock on my 2008 Sahara. It would sure resolve some of my battery issues.
Thanks!!

Here is a thread showing the steps to remove the steering lock. After reading several posts it seems that in 2008 that there were some produced with steering locks and some without. You can also have a dealer disconnect it.
