Yup. Why buy a Faraday sleeve when everyone has a microwave? Put it in the microwave. Since that thing can keep many hundreds of watts of radio energy contained it certainly can keep a fob contained.

You also could put the fob in the refrigerator but you had better let family members know you are doing it intentionally.

Profound words there, Gary.

Well, I'm going to bounce around again as I'm doing in several threads lately, lol. I feel like a politician.

To OP: Since I'm getting ready to order a new Wrangler JLU in the next several months, I've been doing as much reading as I can on Wranglers and related topics.

I just finished reading something from last summer where some Wrangler owners are still recommending using a Faraday case. Since you apparently have a late model JL and possibly have all the fancy doodads that supplement push-button-start, you might want to still use that Faraday case since it sounds you already have one. Although I tend to agree with most who have posted in this thread who say we can't start being too paranoid about getting our vehicles or contents inside the vehicles stolen, why not take precautions regardless especially when you may be in a location where it could make it more vulnerable to having a vehicle stolen.

I'll use a nondescript link ...read HERE (lots of off-topic minutiae posted but there is some interesting stuff within).

Let's not forget that this is the same group of vehicle owners that also recommends a color-matched hi-lift jack on every Jeep. And a name on every hood. And a $300 Factor 5 Winch hook on a winch that won't get used at the mall. And on and on. Don't sweat it--Gary RVRoamer has the right attitude here.

Yeah, they are a pretty radical bunch over there.

Sorry for all the flip-flopping. to Gary.

Well, I'm continuing to beat a dead horse, I know, I know.

Just noticed this today from WFTS in Tampa reporting yesterday about a rash of Jeeps stolen in Florida and mentions relay theft and Faraday pouches again:

Three Jeeps stolen in minutes from Pasco County neighborhood
