I was mistaken. You can get the Active Drive II transmission on a Cherokee, with the standard 4 cylinder, although reports from owners of that combination report very a
nemic performance.
Also with the V6, you also get "Active Shutters" and Stop/Start technology.
Stop/Start, will stop the engine when you stop at a traffic light, and start it back up when you take your foot off the brake and hit the accelerator. This "feature" can be overridden by pushing a button on the dash, but only until the next time you start the car. At that point it reverts to Stop/Start process on.
Would like to be able to disable this feature, until I decide to turn it back on.
On the plus side, Cherokee owners are saying the optional V6 has plenty of power.
Since my honda was totaled, I need to get a replacement car, and the 2015 Cherokee is on the top of the list.
