Low connection point on toad.

I tow a 2018 hyundai elantra which has very low connetion points. I have an 6 inch drop hitch on the MH, which is about as low as I can go without having major hitch drag issues going in and out driveways etc. The baseplate on the car is a blue ox, so it has the machine gun looking connection points (sorry, I don't know what the are called). The tow bar is still not as level as I would like when connected as I would like. (About 4 inches from level) I was wondering if they make those machine gun connectors in an offset to act as a riser to level the tow bar. I just can't lower the hitch any further.

I have never seen the offset inserts but they could be easily made. Cut the existing inserts and weld a piece of 1/2 x 3 flat bar in, offsetting the insert by a couple of inches. It will change the torque angle on the base plate. I am not familiar with your base plate but 2" offset should be within reason. I am ducking into cover now, the engineers are about to slay me.

Low connection point on toad.

4” difference is level enough. And it’s better if the toad’s connection is lower than the hitch vs the opposite. They don’t make offset connectors for the blue ox that I’m aware of, nor would I trust them. They’re flimsy enough already.

Do you have a good proportionate towed braking system (AFI etc)?

If so, I wouldn't worry about it.

I had never seen the offset ones either, it is most likely because of physics, that would put different stress on the baseplate, causing it to fail. I have drug that car around for 35000 miles with its current setup, I guess I will just continue with it.
