MH Charge line to 2014 CRV??

I just switched my toad to a new CRV and have a 12volt charge line from MH.......Camping World would not hook it up....they say that CRVs from 2012 can have computer problems if charged by MH. Is there a way to avoid potential problem?
Thanks, Jim

Jim,
What braking system are you using?
Are there separate lights within the rear lenses for run/stop/turn that are independent of your CRVs stock ones?

I cannot figure out what they're talking about by "computer problems" if a charge line is used. Your toad battery will not know the difference between a charge line from the MH and a regular battery charger. Therefore the same logic would apply if say by chance you ran your battery down by accident and wanted to put a battery charger on it for awhile.

I do know that there was a Service Bulletin issued by Honda for a problem with discharging of batteries in a very short time.. not sure if this is related to CW's thoughts on this: http://www.crvownersclub.com/forums/...-12-041-2-.pdf

Thanks for your reply....I'm using Brakemaster ((MH has air). CW also installed a Switchmaster to control the fuse that CRV says to pull if towed for over 6 hours.

Yea it's common for people to pull the fuse or use that setup so that you don't completely discharge the battery in the CRV. Still confused by their "computer problems" statement.

I have been towing a 2012 CRV for 2 years with a charge line from the coach without any problems. I did build in a fuse shut off switch which I think - now - was not necessary with the charge line.
We had the battery die when we used the car at home over the summer (snowbirds) and Honda adjusted the computer - giving us a "better" charge. haven't had any problems since.
Best tow car ever.

I too have a charge line on a 2013 CRV. I have had no problems. I have breakers at both ends.

2013 CRV with charge line installed at Lazy Days. No problems, never have to pull a fuse. I have no idea what CW is talking about.
