mopar harness 82211156AB 2015 wrangler install

Hi guys I wanted to start a thread that has been talked about but i think is mis understood. i am including a small write up with pictures to help everyone out
this actually installs very easy and works PERFECT.

if you are familiar with this kit, the directions instruct you to remove fenders, liners, and drill a 1 1/8 hole in firewall. I wasn't into drilling or wasting time and realized you could save time and hassle by extending the 5 wire side of the harness that goes to the grill and use an existing hole in firewall. i did this in about 1.5 hours and it worked out great.

steps

disconnecting the harness up under dash is a little tricky but very possible.
disconnect harness and install new harness, in between the factory.
bolt ground down to existing stud on side kick panel.
this is where i got crafty.
i cut the 5 wires that ran to front and instead of drilling and going through the pass side firewall, i extended that side of harness 5 feet. then ran under carpet behind dash over to the riverside and ran it out an existing hole in firewall. (i believe its the clutch hole so this will apply to auto units)

then spliced it back into the tow harness and ran to the from grill following headlight harness.

This harness is great and everything works perfect and makes hooking up to toad extremely easy!
hope this helps some people on the fence on which harness to buy, this one is great.

Chris

Great write up - I'm looking into these now but I have a question, I'm also looking into the Roadmaster Invisibrake and since they both use the 7-pin connector (or so I believe), do you have to splice them together or how does that work?
