There are several companies making motorcyle lifts/carriers that allow you to carry a bike mounted across the back of your motorhome. I have no experience with any of them.

I would like opinions from owners or users of such lifts. How has yours worked? Does it appear more than strong enough to carry a 900 lb bike? Would you buy the same lift again or would you buy another brand?

Two of the companies that I see ads for are Overbilt and Blue Ox. I know there are a couple more. Thanks in advance for any input.

Added on Edit: I should have mentioned that I plan on installing the lift on an '05 Dutch Star DP.

The one thing none of these companies discuss is how the 1000# or so of extra weight is going to effect the handling of the coach. A large diesel pusher will probably not be effected, but a gasser with such a large rear over hange will be effected. One thing is the aditional load placed on the rear axle and the other is how much it will unload or lighten the front axle.

Best to do some homework on the weights and see where you stand.
