Mounting Spot For Air Force One On 2019 Ford Edge ST
Has anyone installed an Air Force One in a 2019 Ford Edge ST? I see other members have mounted the power disconnect on top of the fuse box, and it looks pretty straight forward, but from looking at the engine bay it looks pretty packed in there. So I was wondering where the control box for the car side could be mounted. It looks to me like they must have used a shoehorn to install the engine.

Only one each is in post. If posting pictures from app they show up twice but refreshing only shows one.

Thanks, we are going to start the install tomorrow, and it gives us ideas at least.

I towed my 2014 Focus from Florida all the way back to western Canada, without disconnecting. It was so covered in ice I couldn’t disconnect it if I wanted, and then we were in quarantine. It hadn’t run in probably two and a half weeks, and started right away.
Thanks for the pictures again.

It's always a challenge. I just installed the AF1 box on my new Ford Raptor. I was about to make a plate, so I could Velcro it to the top of the air cleaner box, when I spotted a perfect area. The lower half of the air cleaner box had a spot, exactly the same size as the AF1 box. I velcro'd it to the side of the air cleaner box.
Look at your fuse box cover, top of air cleaner and even a bracket that would locate it over the battery, since the new batteries don't need servicing. If you can, closer to the power brake unit, the better, since you have to run a hose to it.
On my GMC Canyon, I use two rubber over or metal cable hold downs to secure it to the lid of the fuse box.
Be creative!

Just finished the installation. There was a nice open space just below the drivers headlight to mount it. All I have left to do, is install the battery disconnect switch.
With installing the baseplate, installing Air Force One and wiring the lights, it took two of us, three and a half days. It was a big job, turned out well though.

To do these right and make a nice installation, it can take quite awhile. When you take it to a dealer for install, they're on the clock and usually slap stuff in quickly.
