Mud Flap for Class C

I will be flat towing a Wrangler behind my Class C Jayco Redhawks. What are your thoughts on putting on a mud flap to prevent RV throwing stones and debris to the Jeep? Any downsides?

Some people report that having a mud flap picks up rocks off the road and damages the toad. Others, like myself, have towed close to 20,000 miles with a mud flap without any damage. When I check RV parks seems like 80 to 90 percent of the Class A towing have the long mudflap and ones I talked to claim they their toads are not being damaged by rocks. I have also noticed that most Class C doesn't have the long mud flap but just mud flaps behind each wheel. I guess if you start towing and starting getting damage then try a long mud flap and see if that helps.

If the exhaust pipe comes out the side then I would buy a Protect-a-Tow mesh shield. That provides complete protection!

For 3 years, we had a 28 foot Coachmen Freelander w/o a slide and no rear "mudflap".

We sold it and for 2 years have had a 29 foot Coachmen Freelander WITH a slide. It came with a "Hitler Moustache" across the back.

As related to the towed car, I don't see ANY difference between the two.
