New base plate / alignment

Has anyone decided after having a base plate installed that an alignment of the towed vehicle is necessary?

We picked up our Jeep and it seems to me that it's pulling to the right. Something I don't recall it doing. Is it possible the installation process threw things out of wack? Could the extra weight have an impact?

New base plate / alignment

It should not. But did they have to remove or do anything impacting steering or suspension during the install?

Be sure your tire pressures are correct.

Could you tell us what model of Jeep you had the base plate installed? Usually installing a base plate doesn't touch alignment or suspension components, removal of front bumper or clip then bolting the base plate to the front frame ends. Have you measured the distance from the front hook up points for the tow bar to the tires/axle to see if it's uneven?

2016 Jeep Latitude .

We got home late - it's a 75 mile trip to our dealer. Tire pressure and measurement are in my agenda between cooking the turkey and fixings! LOL.
