We just got ours yesterday, and it has a super smooth ride and is surprisingly quite. I was impressed. Plus you get all the creature comforts that come with it. We checked into the JL Sarah, test drove one, you don't even know your in a Jeep.

While our 2014 jku is a lot quieter than any of my previous jeeps, they are not what I'd call quiet....

Actually looked at the JL's and the difference in price is amazing up to the rubi, while I miss the lockers for hard core rock climbing, a good set of MT tires aired down can do a lot...

Dealer gave me a copy of a service tech update that said the wiring harness was not necessary for the mid year 2019 upgraded Cherokee Overland ( Not Grand Cherokeee)

Service bulletin about Jeep Death Wobble and 2019 Cherokee

I contacted DCS Chrysler Jeep in Temecula... and they forwarded a copy of the service bulletin. See attached.

Very interesting! Is this a two or four door?

2009 Rubicon use Blue Ox, M&G brake system and Rockhard aluminum bumper instead of base plate. Very happy with all.

If it were me, I'd get 'u', i.e. a 4 door. We are thinking about trading our JK for a JKU. We are finding we often want to carry 4 people and the JK is a bit tough. We've had my 94 year old mother-in-law in it, and her walker had to ride on its side, half in the back and half in the front. A hard corner had the wheels tapping me on the head. Better seating for 4, more room for cargo behind the seats, a bit longer wheelbase, all looks good to me.

The JLU is the 4 door Unlimited version. I believe that 2 door version would be called the JL.

That is our setup, we love it. Very simple and quick to hookup. After doing it numerous times we are completely hooked up ready to roll in less than 3 minutes, it’s a pleasure.

Best of luck!
Steve

Btw, we usually carry golf clubs, a case of water or two in the Jeep, we have weighed it several times behind our coach, always from 4,060 to 4,080 lbs.

We purchased a JL Rubicon with the idea we could tow it to Yuma this winter and go play in the desert. So far I've installed a Rock Hard aluminum bumper with Blue Ox adapter and a Brake Buddy. I'm using Harbor Freight magnetic tow lights and can either use then directly on the Jeep or on a receiver mount on the back of the Jeep. I chose a Rubicon because I want to 4 wheel. If you don't plan on heavy duty wheeling, the Sport or Saraha would save you a bundle. But, if you get into wheeling, you'll spend more than the price of a Rubicon to get all the off road do-dads added. If you're not worried about clearance or rock damage, a set of Blue Ox base plates will be less expensive than the bumper route I went.
