New Jeep Wrangle...JL

What are we gonna have to do to get 12 volt in the
cab to power our BRAKE BUDDY when we go to tow?

I do not want to run a fused hot wire from the battery
thru the fire wall, unless that is the only option I have.

I am wondering if one of those small stand along
boosters would power the B/B as I have the B/B set
up to only respond to a hard stop.
Maybe comes on once or twice in a 1000 mile trip,
as 95% of the time I am on the interstate.

Anyone towing the NEW CL, have an answer?
Thanks for any reply.....coopcolt

I believe the rear 12 volt outlet is battery powered.

Is there an outlet inside the center console like the JKs? If so, it's hot all the time and I used mine for a RVI2 brake.

On our JK I wired a 12v outlet to the toad wire harness. The JK had three outlets, two on the dash and one in the console. I just rewired one of tbe dash outlets.

After a couple of years of having to deal with the installation, removal and storage needs of the Patriot I had the SMI Air Force One installed. If not a diesel rig there is an electric variant

In the new Jeep Wrangler JL's, there is a 12 outlet in the back cargo bay and there is another one up front in the middle of the console. The rear outlet (per the owner's manual) can be configured to be "hot all the time" or switched with ignition by re-positioning a fuse - all described in the manual. The front port, however, is only switched with ignition. Cool Tech LLC offers a simple kit to make the front outlet hot all of the time.
