I also used the Tow Daddy kit on my 2014 GC. Almost thought I had a problem during the initial checkout, the brake lights wouldn't come on when the car brake pedal was pushed, evidently the GC removes power from a lot of circuits shortly after the ignition is turned off. I see the same thing when towing the car and looking for my brake feedback signal, it only works for about 5 or 10 minutes after I shut off the car. If I stop and open the door, all the lights will work again.

SMI has an air pressure switch kit for the vehicles that do not have power to brake light switch when key is turned off.

I just finished wiring a 2012 Jeep Liberty for being towed. Since I had already wired it for towing a boat, I decided to not tie into the system a second time for being towed. There happens to be one extra bay in the tail-light lens system with no bulbs in it. So, I bought two sockets with three wires coming out (it was going into a plastic housing, so needed the ground wire). It may have been from etrailer, IIRC, and was a straightforward installation. So now, if there is a wiring problem, I have a less complicated system to troubleshoot.
