New user here to all RVi Brake 3 Users

Just set up a 2013 Honda CRV for flat tow. Internet says to bypass the #19 ACC fuse. Have done this. I'm towing with a MBS Sprinter, Class C RV.
Unfortunately this also bypasses the two 12v power sources and I don't have a power source for the RVi Brake 3.
I have the RVi Brake 3 battery maintainer installed that charges the Honda battery with the RV coach through the wiring cable.
Will be RVi battery maintainer keep the Honda battery charged without the #19 fuse bypassed or do I need a dedicated 12v line direct from the battery?

Thanks in advance,

Dave

The battery maintainer should provide enough power to maintain the battery without bypassing the #19 fuse. The RVi3 only draws some current when applying the brakes, otherwise it draws almost nothing.
If you continue to have battery problems change the battery. CRV's have a garden tractor size battery and can't support much electrical load. Change the battery to a group 24 or 24F, depending on how the battery cables are arranged, with at least 750+ CCA capacity. You will need to replace the battery tray with one from a Odyssey, about $40 from your friendly Honda Dealer.

I had the same problem on our Envision. Then found that the CLA in the rear is still operational and got an extension cord from there.

Thanks. I had that same thought but my CRV doesn't have a rear CLA.
