New Vehicle Chevy Silverado

Going from a jeep to a 2015 chey Silverado I. purchase a heavier tow bar new blue ox braking system. Now question where the best place to get a power supply going to the braking system running power from the coach back or pick up lighter plug from this vehicle .Also when keys is on to unlock the steering all electrical stuff is on resultes dead battery in short time.Any ideas would help.Winter project. Pulling with a 2007 Monaco knight if that helps

I ran a charge line from coach to tow vehicle battery, ran seperate 12v plug for brake unit from battery. Total cost was under $40.00.

On our '11 Sierra the steering wheel does not lock; I keep the key in my pocket. On those newer than mine I think you have to disconnect the battery; check your owners manual.

I think you might need to read your owner's manual very closely. It might tell you that the truck battery needs to be Disconnected so that the battery won't run down. In that case he could run A DC out directly from your battery For the braking system.

The first thing i would do is install a charge line from the coach battery and then rethink my choice of toad brakes , on your truck the M&G system is a super easy system to install then all you need to do is hook up theair line and go no more brake lights coming on when the toadbrakes activate and push the brake pedal it is the simplest and I think arguble the best system on the market also reasonable priced.
