Newly installed lighting problem

Just had my 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited rigged for towing at an RV dealer in Nashville. Everything worked fine when I left dealership yesterday. When toad is plugged into rv, all lights and turn signals work....when toad is disconnected, left rear blinker and left brake light on toad do NOT work......it is not the bulb as I checked that.....what did they do wrong?....is it something I can check myself with limited knowledge, or did they wire something wrong?...any ideas? I live 35 miles away and hate to take Jeep back for something that might be a quick fix on my part.

Well Sir,
It kind-a sounds to me, right off the bat that, it's either a bad diode or, an improperly installed diode, on the left side. I'm no expert at this, only been doing it for about 30 years. If it were mine, I'd dig into the wiring where they tied into it and, at the left side, check for either a brake light signal or, turn signal, BEFORE any diode is installed to see if the regular signal system is working.

If you find you have a signal, from either of those, but none after it, it's most likely a bad diode or, I guess you can install those incorrectly, I don't know. I use Radio Shack diodes so, I'm not familiar with those diode "Packs" that are purchased commercially. Good luck.
Scott

Thanks to "Fire Up" for the quick response! I am betting you are on target. Since I am such a rookie on things of this nature, guess I'll take it back to them and let them trouble shoot the problem. Wish I had your 30 yrs of experience! Thanks again.
