Odd Even Brake ICX Question

Short version, Question, Is your ICX box metal or plastic?

Long version:

I have a Roadmaster Even Brake with a serial number of 27,0XX built in early 2018, this was before their design change at 27,496 which changed cable color, ICX models, etc. as pertains to second vehicle kits etc. Anyway this summer we bought a second TOAD which meant I needed to buy a second ICX or complete Second vehicle kit, as luck would have it these are back order due to chip shortage, though I was able to find an open box return second vehicle kit (#98400) for sale on ebay after a bit of searching, which I bought. (The newer post 27,496 serial number Even Brakes requires the #98450 second vehicle kit). Since the second vehicle kit I bought was an ebay find I don't know if it is older or newer than my Even Brake system, what I do know is my original ICX unit is in a metal case, and the new ICX that came with the #98400 second vehicle kit is plastic and feels much less solid. So I am wondering if anyone else has noticed this, or knows if the plastic case ICX is the newer or older design.
