Pilot towing

Alright, posted a thread on a 2006 being towed wheels down and quickly learned that wasn't possible. Another vehicle I have as a possible 'Toad' is a 2006 Honda Pilot 2WD. Does anyone know for sure if it can or cannot be towed? I really don't want to tow my Chevy Tahoe, so if the Honda doesn't work, I guess I start looking for another car or suv to use. Any issues known about the Honda would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks to everyone for helping us Newbies out!

In 2006 I bought a 2006 Honda Pilot to tow behind my motorhome. Before we bought it I had the sales manager show me in the Pilot owners manual how to tow it four down.

Three months after buying it I discovered that Honda was no longer warranting it if it was towed four down.

I called the sales manager, he did some checking with the higher ups. He called me the next day and said bring it back. They gave me all my money back with no hassle.

It was the same transmission that was in the 2005 Pilot and those were still being covered by warranty so I bought a new 2005 Pilot that he found in Los Angeles. They shipped it to Clovis and it only had 20 miles on the odometer.

If I had it to do over again I think I would have kept the 2006 as it was a nicer SUV than the 2005.

If you look in the owners manual it will say it is towable four down.

Thanks!

Thanks Arch, I had lost the owners manual and never really ran across the need to find it. After this came up, I started looking and finally found it. I will investigate more, but I truly appreciate the info you gave. As I have said before, Thanks to all you guys for helping others out!!
