Possible Dinghys from 2009 - Present all in one Document

This may already exist but I made this from the Dinghy guides put out by MotorHome.com. Hopefully one of you will find it useful if you are looking for a TOAD and would like a fairly compact list with details.

Oh man. Thanks sooo so much. I have little notes laying around my desk about possible contenders for us. But NOW you made a nice list. Great.
We don't pull a toad. At least not yet, but we did contemplate it and if the right one comes along, we'll jump on it.

This Toad list has the exact procedure we use with the 2018 F-150 Platinum successfully. A comfort for those looking to this list for guidance. Thanks for posting this.

As of June 1, 2022 for Flat towing / 4-down towning:

The now defunct Motorhome Magazine summary reference page of dinghy towing guides for each year no longer exists but most years still can be found online if doing a search.

I have each year's guide on a hard drive from 1990 to 2020 so if anybody needs a specific year, let me know by PM which year or years and I'll send them to you.

Alternatively, the FMCA dinghy towing guides are still listed on a summary page online are are available (as of June 22) for each year from 1999 to present:

FMCA Dinghy Towing Guides (from 1999 forward)

The FMCA dinghy towing guides and the Motorhome Magaziine dinghy towing guides are pretty much identical as both only list vehicles that can be flat towed with no modification and ONLY models that are approved by their manufacturer for flat towing or "recreational towing" behind a motorhome. Therefore, instructions for "recreational towing" will in almost all cases be contained in their owners manual.

Because the "dinghy towing guides" only list those vehicles that are approved by their manufacturers for flat towing behind a motorhome, some will be missing. In other words, there are several vehicles that are NOT approved by their manufacturer for dinghy towing but many are doing so without any issues or problems. The ones that come to mind most often are VW, MINI, and Mazda Miata. VW and MINIs must be FWD and all must have a traditional manual transmission with a clutch pedal.

Is there a guide that lists all vehicles that can be flat towed. I believe the one presented is for dolly towing. Thanks

From past experience, check to see if there any update Technical Bulletins from the manufacture. We have a 2017 Equinox and the chart says to pull fuse 32, but an update bulletin from GM shay you also have to pull 2 fuses under the hood, fuse 32 is supposed to stop the battery from dying while towing and it's still wrong, you need a charge line....
