Powering a supplemental brake system

I just purchased an RVI Brake 3 system to tow my smart car. I had also bought a Gooloo jump starter power bank to use to power my brake as my smart car battery needs to be disconnected to tow, and I do not want to run a 12 volt line from the battery through the firewall.

I was hoping my Gooloo power bank could do the job, but it will turn off after 30 seconds when not in use.

My question is does anyone use a power bank / jump starter to power their supplemental brake, and if so what make and model?

If it doesnt work, how about an AGM motorcycle battery or maybe next size up (GP-U1 lawn and garden), similar to the 12v breakaway braking systems on trailers, but bigger.

I use this to power my RVI 3 brake and it does a great job !

You seem to have an aversion to running a wire through the firewall. Is there some reason? It typically pretty simple. Find an existing rubber grommet and slip in one more wire. Mount the aux power outlet up under the dash out away from knees and shins.

Or just pull power from an unused fuse slot if theres a fuse block under the dash. But to each his own, and all that...

I use a portable jump starter unit to power my Brake Buddy. Less than $100 at Wal Mart as I recall. Works great. I just recharge it every 2 or three days whenever we are stopped at a park.

Though this is a link to O'Reillys, I'm pretty sure mine came from Wal Mart and was around $100.
