Problems towing 2017 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk L Plus

We are trying to tow this vehicle with a 2017 Class C Forest River Forester. We are using A Blue Ox Avail Tow Bar with Blue Ox Base Plates. We have the MOPAR flat tow harness installed and we are using an SMI Braking System. We followed the owners manual to get the car in the neutral towing mode and activated the flat towing harness. While testing the configuration we found that the car would follow the RV on a lane change and around long curves but the front wheels do not turn enough on sharp turns and the tires get scuffed on the edges. Basically the RV is dragging the car around the sharp turns! Anyone else having this issue?

Are you positive the EPS (Electronic Power Steering) is actually activated? You can test it without connecting the Jeep to the coach.

After you have flipped the switch in the center console and inserted the 10 amp fuse under the hood, you should be able to easily turn the steering wheel back and forth.

I'm not sure that my Mopar Flat tow harness is working as i dont get the easy wheel turn you described. I'm currently discussing with another individual who also just bought a 2017 Cherokee Trailhawk. See thread New Jeep Cherokee TrailHawk Toad.

This issue with the 2017 Trailhawk not turning behind the RV and scuffing the tires on turns has been resolved. I posted a reply in the more relevant New Jeep Cherokee TrailHawk Toad thread.
