(mine is an 02 5 speed). The first click of the switch is the "off" position. This is where it should be to tow. It has to be there to unlock the steering but doesn't turn on the ignition. So you will need the key in the ignition while towing.

Ok I have a question about the PT. We have an '02 manual shift and are planning to set it up for 4 down towing. The steering wheel does not lock. How do we deal with that? Also what reccomendations do you have for baseplate, wiring harness and tow bar and brake system? I already tow an enclosed trailer w/electric brakes so the RV is all set up for that.
