Questions about my WK Grand Cherokee

Do i need to leave a key in the ignition switch when flat towing? The owners manual says to place switch in off position, but not sure if i should leave key in. Would rather remove it if possible.

I have an 09 WK and you do *NOT* leave the key in, you *DO* remove it. I assume you have the FOB key.

Yes i do have a FOB key, and glad to know i can take the key out.
On my 01 wj you have to turn the switch to the 1st position past off and the key stays in.
Thanks for your reply.
