Ready Brake Elite II and 2021 Ford Ranger XLT

Been studying numerous threads and various You Tubes.

Read and reread company install instructions at least a dozen times.

Plan on calling company on Monday as I am pretty handy but the directions are thin and the following questions I am concerned about.

My questions.....

1. Anyone install their own on a 2020 or 2021 Ranger?
2. The brake pedal is at a pretty good angle. Looks like coming up through the slanted floor may be a better angle than straight through the firewall plus you miss the brake lines. Anyone know if that is or is not recommended?
3. If through the firewall, how far right or left or up or down the pedal shaft is OK?

Beyond the firewall issue, the rest looks easy enough...but a straight hookup looks tough with brake lines right behind the pedal on the other side of the firewall.

Thanks to any who can add something....

I have the Ready Brake on my 2021 Ranger Lariat. It is tight getting a hole thru the firewall. But, it can be done. I too was concerned about the angle but, it works. Iíve been thinking of drilling a hole at the bottom of the pedal for a different angle.
The best place for the outlet on the front bumper is exactly where license plate is. I cut a slit in my plate and slipped it over the loop. I doubt the law will ever notice it.
I also put an led in my grill that is wired to the brake light. When the Ready Brake is activated I can see it in my rear camera.
I also put a bungee cord from the brake pedal to under the seat just to make sure the brake returns.
All seems to work.
Also They recommend a charging wire from the motorhome to the Ranger battery. Easily done .
I used the Ready Brake on a 2004 Jeep Liberty for many years

Thanks for the nice reply.

Any chance of getting a photo of the cable to brake pedal showing the cable pass through and attachment to the pedal? Would be appreciated!

Yes...my brake lines are really close to where I think I need to be...also just curious where the cables pull the pedal ....the angles just seem poor but till you install and know what works.

Thank you!

This is the best photo I could get under the dash. I couldnít get one under the hood. As you can see my angle is pretty severe. Iíll be moving the cable up to reduce the angle. But, it will also reduce the leverage. Iíll see how that does.
On my previous toad (Jeep Liberty) it was easy to pull the front loop and actuate the brakes. My set up now is more difficult to pull. But, it does work. Iíll let you know after I move the cable up. It will be a few weeks.
So, I included pictures of my front loop and my actuator cable I made. It is easy to adjust and fine tune.
Good luck.
PS I love myRanger. Itís 4WD and doubles as my daily driver. I had the Liberty and a F150. The Ranger eliminated one vehicle. Click image for larger version
