Ready Brute Elite vs Ready Brute Elite II
I wanted to get a ready brute elite but see they have been discontinued. All my videos for reviews and installation are for the ready brute elite.
I will be flat towing a 2021 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited and like the mechanical vs electrical system of the ready brute.
Now I have to get a ready brute elite II. The new one does seem to be different. Has anyone use the new Elite II? Is the Elite II just as good as the original?
Appreciate the feedback.

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined us!
I would go with the Hercules steel towbars with built-in ReadyBrake. They are rated at 12,000 lbs!
I suggest that you create a signature showing the make and model of your RV. It will help folks to answer questions you may have in the future. Look at post #30 in the link below that tells you how to do that.

I have a Ready Brute Elite II, which I love, and tow a 2020 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon. Unfortunately, I don't know the difference between it and the RB Elite I.

Ready Brake ll is plenty of tow bar for a Wrangler, 8000 lb. towing capacity, you could tow 2 wranglers with that bar. The Ready Brake Elite ll is pretty much the same as the old model. The new model has easier to release bar locks and a few ohter minor updates. I do like that this bar/brake is totally mechanical other that the optional red light you can wire into the dash of your motorhome.

There seems to be two different Ready Brake II's. I think the first one mentions Elite.

The first one is way more expensive than the 2nd. They both claim 8000lb capacity. I can see the difference in the release handles, but is that enough to justify almost twice the price?

Thanks for the info.
Good catch on the brake. The cheaper one had the cable guide and I didn't notice both were missing the brake system.
So the Brake System is a completely separate piece for these?

I used a ReadyBrute Elite from 2006 until end of last year. It was still a great tow bar/aux brake system I simply decided to upgrade to new. I went with the Elite II and have been using it for about 8 months. I like it and am not finding any great difference from the out going model. I'm not following how the installation is any different. Don't you simply insert tow bar into the receiver of the coach and run the brake cable through the engine compartment to the brake pedal of the toad? You'll find running the cable on your JL to be a piece of cake. I did my JL in about a hour.

I towed with an RB Elite and it was good. In hindsight, though, I’d probably elect to use the ReadyBrake system with either a Blue Ox or Roadmaster tow bar. Simply because the likelihood of finding tow adapters will be easier if you change vehicles or bumpers, etc. For instance, if you go with Maximus 3 tow points, they have the adapters for BO ready to go.

I have the Maximus 3 tow loops also & purchased the clevis's from Night Shift Auto with the new tow bar.
