Is it normal for a Remco pump to be noisy? Mine is mounted on the inside fender liner of our Buick & I can feel the vibration on the fender. It appears to be pumping OK but the vibration broke the pump from its base. I used a plastic tie to fasten it to get home from our trip to CA.

I used a lub pump for three years, it always made a little noise ( you could hear it 3ft. away) you could always feel the pump working if you put your hand on the car. Like I said it did it for three years and never was a problem. I still have the pump in case I buy another car that cannot be towed 4 down without a pump.

You may want to ck the three set screws in front of the pump. Mine done the same thing. My installer took them out and and put locktite on them. The vibration went away. Yes as the previosly post said they are a little noisy.
