Roadmaster Spare Tire Carrier

We felt the need to have the security of a spare tire with us. However Coachmen's design does not lend itself to the concept.

We added the TC before our Falcon 2 AT hitch to our Jeep. I thought some of you might find some pictures interesting.

Despite the 2" drop, we are within the 3" range of the pins on the Tow bar and the connecting points on the TC and motorhome.

You have two positions, putting the TC further in would have been ideal, but it then sets too close and with any bouncing it was likely to damage our rear end cap.Click image for larger version

That looks like a nice setup. We just acquired a spare for our Greyhawk but, like your Mirada, we lack a place to put it other than in the rear cargo bin. That carrier would allow me to still use our hitch-mounted bicycle rack or pull the motorcycle trailer.

Let us know how it works for you. Thanks.

Been running a setup similar to that for about 2 years now. Used the Roadmaster dual receiver and a Curt Spare Tire Carrier.
Works well, and no problems towing our Subi XV.
