Roadmaster to Blue Ox

Hello folks...,
I am new to this site and real happy to be a new motorhome owner..
Yesterday I bought a new car to me a 2016 sonic already equipped with a base plate. As the two hole in front were round I immediately believed that it was a blue ox base plate.
Today I bought a blue ox hitch and when it comes time to buy the 2 front pin that goes in the base plate the pins were too small in circumference...
with search I realize that it was a Roadmaster base plate.... my question is
Any way to fit the roadmaster base plate with blue ox hitch?
Thanks folks

Robert

Contact e-trailer, locate their number in a Google search, and talk to them about your issue. They are very knowledgeable and they have all of the major brands in stock.

You can get different ends for the tow bar to adapt to the Roadmaster base plate.

Roadmaster makes two different style base plates for that model car. You'll need to get the Roadmaster parts from them, or possibly etrailer.

Blue Ox or etrailer will sell you new ends for the tow bar.

First off, Welcome to IRV2 Robert!

Be aware that Demco also makes a "tabless" base plate that uses the large pins like a Blue Ox. They have adapters for it to fit other tow bars. A photo of your base plate connector would help someone tell for sure what you have.

Thanks to you folk....greatly appreciated.
This morning I have had the idea😁to have a look at the base plate.
I could say that the base plate is still looking like new and in the middle of the lower bar I can read.... ROADMASTER 523173-5
This is the new Roadmaster EZ5 base plate.
Now that I know that...I will buy the driver and passenger side arm and also buy the Blue ox adapter kit....all together that will cost around $200.00.... not so bad after all🤣🤣 and yes I will call etrailer....
Thanks again to all of you and have a nice day
