Roadmaster Tow Defender

Looking at this product to help protect the front of our Toad. Can anyone give their experience with it or a product similar to it? Thank You.

I have been using mine over five years and it has worked great. It was easy to install, and easy to set up and store. Great product.

I have been using a Tow Defender for the last 6 years. It works great to keep the damage down but the area below is unprotected. Easy to install and disconnect. Last year one of the shoulder bolts holding the left arm broke. Luckily I discovered it after less than a mile of it dragging on the ground. I purchased a new screen but I re-designed and built new arms that do not rely on a cantilevered 3/8" shoulder bolt.

I have both the Roadmaster Guardian Rock Guard and the Roadmaster Tow Defender Protective Screening, better known as the Alaska Package.

If we are for the most park running freeways I just use the Defender but on longer trips maybe some back roads I will use both. The Defender is an EZ on and off with a place to store it when you unhook (love it) you can't go wrong, where the rock guard I have to find a place to stow it when removed.
My daughter has the Protect-a-Tow. The plus is that it helps keep your tow bar, and other cables clean plus it cost less. The down side is when you unhook you have to try and hook it to your RV some way.

Use a bra! It's cheaper and does a good job

Keep your Bra clean and use a good quality wax and your paint will be fine. You have to take it off when you wash your toad!

Also supposed to let them dry if it rains. Not worth the hassle here in the Great NorthWet!

We looked at the Defender but went with the Roadmaster Guardian. Just felt it give a little more protection especially to the fog light area & lower valance of the car. Just got back from a 15 week, 6,200 mile road trip & not a mark on the car anywhere. With the slanted sides it deflects everything away from the car.
