Rock guard

Very confused Gentlemen…….
I was going to try to conquer the dirt, gunk that get blasted all over my toad, especially driving though a rain travel day.
It appears that the school is still out on full mud flaps.
Logically you would think it would help, installed properly,4” over roadway.
The bling factor is nice but don’t want to go backwards either.
My coach came equipped with standard flaps that don’t eliminate the wet road grime, that’s what bothers me.
More insight needed before I pull the trigger.

You will get he road grime no matter what you do. That comes from around over and under the coach. So towing in the rain is going to make the toad dirty no matter what.

Just looking at a coach in the rain gives a clear picture of the swirl caused by a box moving at speed. The suction caused by mud flaps is easy to see. Small dirt and water is almost impossible to stop. It’s the big stuff you want to not be sucked up and tossed on the hood or windows. Proper Mud flaps at the wheels give the stuff that comes up from the tires time to bounce and be on the ground by the time the toad gets there. The advertisement flap at the rear needs to be high enough not to suck it back up. Honestly , The best thing I’ve seen is the net over the tow bar.

Anyone use a vehicle front bumper and hood protector as a rock guard?
