Rs-5000 breakaway in 2016 cherokee

Where did you put the red box? Picture would be helpful.
Thank you, Roger

rogerdodger - since none else has poked at this - I'll give it a shot. I found that the best location seems to be inside the wheel well area, on the frame, driver's side for mounting the breakaway device. This is where I, and other have placed it on Jeep Wranglers. Not knowing what it looks like under your wheel well, you have options such as: 1) under the mud flap to the wheel well, 2) on the frame aft of the bumper, driver's side, or 3) off the side of the baseplate, if you have a flat surface area to drill and attach to. In all cases, you want to see as straight a line, as possible, pointing towards the MH. It does not have to be perfectly flat, and instructions say about any angle, as long as it points to the MH. Take a look at this video and it will show how he installed the breakaway: https://youtu.be/ZpJ9nvH-8qc?list=PL...aSCOCmoLaCzA0w

Thanks for the response. I was hoping for a 2014-17 jeep Cherokee response. The wheel well inside the vehicle is jammed with stuff. If I put it in the outside wheel well behind the plastic as I have seen in YouTube videos, it won't be available if tripped, to release the brake. I am hoping to find a location I can get to in an emergency. I am considering a bracket attached to the front bumper in the area of the left baseplate, where I will be able to get to from in front of the radiator.
Roger

Thanks for the help. I found a place to mount it, not ideal, but it works.
