Rvi3 doesn't fit in 2016 Wrangler?

Finally getting around to installing my rvi3 brake in my 2016 Wrangler. Instructions say to mount phantom bracket in between seat mounts for unit to push against. The only problem is the brake unit does not fit in between the seat mounts. Maybe if I hack away the plastic trim away around the mounts, but I really don't want to do that.
Has anyone ran into this problem? How did you install your rvi brake in your JK. I can't be the only one, or I'm not seeing something.

So I just put the darn thing flat on the floor. That is the only way to get the air actuator lined up with the brake pedal, which IS mentioned in the instructions. Set up mode seemed to work fine. It is close, but it works, and there is enough room for the brakes to release completely. Maybe that is how everyone is doing it? Then the next question is do I mount the bracket down below now?

Thoughts?

I had an RVI2 in my 2012 Wrangler for almost four years and all i ever did was put it in the floor. I did have to remove my Weathertech mat so it didn't move around. Yes, it's a close fit but it worked fine until I changed to an air system.

My F150 has a pretty flat floor and the RVi3 will slide between the two seat mounts so I built a stop out of plywood.

Follow up:
I took another look at their installation video. The Jeep JK they are installing their brake into did not have any of the plastic surrounds around the seat mounts like my 2016. Their Jeep just has bare exposed seat mounts bolted to the floor. It must be the newer generation of JK's (2012+ ?) when they upgraded the engine and interior. Not 100% sure. Beautification!
I hope this will help anyone in the future that has the same minor problem.

RVi did get back to me promptly when I messaged them. Part of the great customer service I read about, and one of the reasons I bought their system.
They also told me to put it on the floor and it will work just fine.

I also installed a 12v/usb power supply in the bedroom of the motorhome to power the "hub" that sends the signal from the brake unit in the Jeep to the tablet up front.

Everything is all set up and ready to go, just in time for my first couple campsite reservations to be cancelled! I hope to try it out soon.

Maiden voyage successful. Rvi3 brake system worked flawlessly flat on the floor of a 2016 Wrangler. At least one hour out of town, and one hour back.

I had an old Even Brake from Roadmaster I used in my Chevy Sonic. When I swapped the Sonic for my ‘15 Wrangler I found the brake to be a total PIA to fit. Not enough room. So I sold it on EBay and went with Ready Brake. Easy install and quick to hook up when heading out and requires no power on the Jeep.
