Saturn Outlook Question

I have just purchased a 2007 Saturn Outlook which I plan to tow with my 2008 Winnebago Sightseer. I am not sure if I need to pull the ignition fuse and if so, where is it located. Any other hints or recommendations would be appreciated.

BTW, I towed a Saturn VUE previously but the VUE was totaled.

Thanks

If it is anything like our 2006 Saturn Vue, here is what I did:
1. Open the hood.
2. On the driver's side (under the hood) close to the fender and by the hood hinge is a black plastic box with a removeable cover.
3. Pop the cover off.
4. Look for the 30A ignition fuse.
5. Now you have a choice.
a. you can run two wires with bayonet ends that plug into the fuse connection, to a place inside the vehicle.
b. Put an inline fuse holder on one of the wires and, inside the vehicle, mount a toggle (on/off) switch where you can reach it.
c. Once you have completed the wiring you are ready to do a pre-towing cycle which consists of: Start the engine. Let it idle for 5-6 minutes in NEUTRAL. Leave the key in the ON POSITION so the steering wheel is unlocked. Reach down and flip the toggle switch to OFF. If you didn't wire a switch in, you will instead just pull the ignition fuse.
DOUBLE CHECK THAT THE TRANSMISSION SELECTOR IS IN NEUTRAL.
Now you are "good to go" for about 600 miles.
If you stop for awhile I would repeat the procedure. (I do)

We had a sister vehicle, a 2006 GMC Acadia. On that you had to pull the 50A Batt1 fuse under the hood. The 2007 Outlook owner manual will have the info for that specific model under Recreational Towing, but GM issued some TSBs on towing in that timeframe so check for those too. The TSB for mine changed the fuse that had to be pulled from IGN to Batt1.

The TSB for towing that model is discussed in this topic: https://www.irv2.com/forums/f85/revi...ave-26920.html

Flat towing 2007 Saturn Outlook

The owners manual indicates that I should pull the IGN relay/fuse before towing to save the battery. There are two IGN fuses/relays 1) IGN relay 2) PCM IGN fuse. Does anyone know which one needs to be pulled?

Thanks
